CCA (Chess) Schedule and Dates 2011

Our CCA (Chess) classes are meant for our P4-P6 pupils. They are conducted on weekly basis in accordance to a pre-arranged schedule which will be posted regularily on this page.

Nanyang pupils - members of SCF's National Junior Squad:

Those pupils who are National Junior Squad (SCF) members and chose chess as their CCA in school this year are required a minimum 80% attendance.They can use the training hours spent with SCF (a National Sports Association) during the National Junior Squad training programs to claim their attendance for 2011. At the end of each semester they will need however to provide an official SCF letter with the number of sessions attended.

Please email us a scanned copy of such document or deliver a hardcopy to our teachers-in-charge.

We strongly encourage these pupils to participate in the school CCA training sessions as well, especially prior to important chess competitions.

Trainers:

NYPS hires ASEAN Chess Academy, Singapore-based and FIDE-sanctioned, for providing the certified and experienced chess coaches for conducting our CCA sessions.
